Today's Haka brought to you by the Tall Blacks

Before their game against Team USA in the FIBA World Cup on September 2 2014, the New Zealand men's basketball team, the Tall Blacks, did what all New Zealand national teams should do... perform the Haka.

USA won the game 98-71.

Afghanistan beats USA. Send in the ICC.

"QUESTION: ... This is about sports. Afghanistan cricket team defeated American U.S. cricket team in Dubai in the Twenty/20 match. Cricket is not very popular here, but it is very popular in Afghanistan. Any comments on that? People are very happy in Afghanistan about this, defeating a U.S. team in cricket.

MR. CROWLEY: Well, I am not familiar with the result. But certainly we always are good sports, and congratulate the victors."

But wait, there's more

From the land that gave you the Second Amendment, comes this special offer from a car dealership in Butler, Missouri. Buy a new car from Max Motors and get a free handgun.

"I’m telling them to get the semiautomatic because it holds more rounds," the dealership's general manager, Walter Moore, told the Kansas City Star. He's not talking about the car.

Hope springs Solo

USA goalkeeper Hope Solo was dropped from the starting eleven for their FIFA Women's World Cup semi-final against Brazil on Wednesday. Brazil won 4-0. Hope wasn't happy. She obviously thought that if she was playing, Brazil would have scored less goals than USA.

Hope Solo wins this week's Jose Maurinho Award for Sports Egotism:
